The Vimi Media Lab and recording studio will serve the Huni Kuin people and neighboring tribes of the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest. This studio will encourage indigenous youth to learn ancient songs and prayers from their elders, as well as preserve ancestral knowledge through audio and video recordings.

The Huni Kuin hold a unique perspective on how to live in harmony with nature that our modern world could learn from. The media produced will shed light on their struggles to protect the vital Amazon rainforest and the sacred lands they depend on for survival. Once built, this production studio will also serve as a community gathering space, theater, and location to sell arts and crafts produced by women of the region. It will combine Indigenous and modern sustainable building techniques.

The SunRise Studios Collective (SRS) provided funding for the initial round of equipment, while efforts to raise funds for the construction of the facility continue.
